The bride-elect is the daughter of William and Patricia Carelas of Concord, N.C. Ms. Gagnon is a graduate of Rutherford B. Hayes High School, Delaware, Ohio, and Jacksonville State University with a bachelor of science degree in criminal justice and accounting.
The prospective groom is the son of Christopher and Patricia Murdock of Fort Payne and grandson of Willene Maxwell, also of Fort Payne. Dr. Murdock is a graduate of Fort Payne High School and a 2004 graduate of the University of Alabama at Birmingham with a PhD in biology. He is employed by Jacksonville State University as an associate professor of biology.
