JACKSONVILLE --- At least a couple of cars driving around near Jacksonville State University were egged sometime after 8 p.m. Thursday.

Nika Berry, a 19-year-old JSU student, said she was in her sister’s car in the Grub Mart drive-thru carwash when an egg hit her windshield.

“I didn’t know what it was at first,” Berry told a Star reporter. “It was like a big ‘wow!’”

Although JSU police said they hadn’t received any reports of egged cars, Berry said the person who threw the egg at her sister’s car was driving a small, four-door vehicle.

“This is weird,” Berry said. “It’s like what? Really? Throwing eggs at cars?”

A Star reporter’s car, which was on Mountain Avenue, was also egged.

JSU is in the midst of final exams, with the spring graduation ceremony set for May 4.
