Calley Rebecca Carter and James David Brady were married Jan. 28, 2012, at Auburn First Baptist Church in Auburn. The Rev. Roland Brown, a close family friend of the bride, of Anniston performed the double-ring ceremony. Music was provided by Anna Hovey, soloist and friend of the bride and groom, and Bryan King, organist.

Parents of the bride are Mr. and Mrs. David Carter of Hoover.

Parents of the groom are Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Brady of Auburn.

The bride, escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents, is the granddaughter of Ms. Toye Thrasher of Heflin and the late Mr. Eston Thrasher and the late Mr. and Mrs. Hoover Carter, formerly of Heflin.

The groom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Birt Hale of Opelika; the late Mr. David Hopkins, formerly of Opelika, and the late Mr. and Mrs. James Brady Sr., formerly of Marion.

Casey Hughes, sister of the bride, was matron of honor.

Bridesmaids were Stephanie Cox, Taylor Keeton, Mallory McCain, Megan Milligan and Shelby Anderson, all close friends of the bride.

The flower girl was Emily Hughes, the bride’s niece.

Boyd Brady, father of the groom, was best man.

Groomsmen were Seth Cannon, Hank Allen, Brad Sumners, James Hughes and Philippe Scheys, all close friends of the groom.

The ring bearer was Carter Hughes, the bride’s nephew.

Ushers were David Barron, Allen Colburn and Mark Ganus.

After an evening reception hosted by the bride’s parents at the Hotel at Auburn University, the newlyweds honeymooned in St. Lucia and now reside in Auburn.
