Three former governors accepted subpoenas in an Alabama high-profile case without ever contacting the attorney general or personal lawyers in an attempt to get out of the trial.

Govs. Fob James, Guy Hunt and Jim Folsom were all served with subpoenas in the Don Siegelman and Richard Scrushy trial. In that trial, the defense team made decisions not to call the former governors.

Bob Riley has gone to great lengths to avoid testifying in either of the bingo corruption trials. His actions raise many questions and concerns.
