They did every test and referred him to different doctors. We had a doctor laugh at us and tell us we were crazy but we pushed, and as a family, with help from doctors who cared, I think my dad is on the road to getting well.
I would like to thank Dr. John Payne, Dr. Thomas Wilson, Dr. Wyndell Hamer and their staffs, the nurses and aides at RMC and St. Vincent’s, and the hospitalist doctors for taking such good care of my dad and never laughing at us and making us feel like we were stupid for asking questions. I’d also like to thank Amedisys Home Health of Anniston.
I know the doctors we will never see again, but if you have any doubt that a doctor isn’t doing everything he or she can for you or your loved one, just remember there are many doctors who will. Never take, “Well, that makes no sense and won’t help,” as an answer.
Always keep pushing for answers, and most of all, get all the prayers you can. God got us this far and will get my dad back working in his woodshop. Thanks to all our friends who have been here for us and keep those prayers coming. I love you, Dad!
