Maggie was at her house on Christmas, her father beside her, sipping tea. The doorbell rang. and Maggie went to get it. It was Alexis, Maggie said, “Hi, Alexis. Would you like to come inside?” Alexis said, “Yes, I have something important to tell you!!” Maggie said, “What is it? Well, come on tell me.” “Fine,” said Alexis. Julia’s sick.” “Oh, no!” Maggie said. Well, its getting late you should probably go home.” “Okay.” said Alexis. “Bye,” Maggie said. The door closes. Maggie goes up to her room and feeds her crab, Bashful. She puts her pajamas on and gets in her bed. Her father tells her good night.

The next morning, Maggie gets dressed and packs her backpack, eats breakfast, and rushes to the bus. She sits by Alexis. They talk about Julia being sick. When they get to school, they go to Mrs.Whitelaw for grammer class and Math class. Next they go to science, spelling and Wordly Wise with Mr. Farmer. After that the bell rings, and class is dismissed by Mr. Farmer.

Maggie and Alexis are walking home, When they saw a graveyard they went inside. They saw a pretty statue. Alexis went up and touched it. “It moved,” said Alexis, “I felt it.” “It was just your imagination,” said Maggie, Statues cant move, Your crazy said Alexis ,I felt it ,Oh yeah said Maggie. “I’ll go touch it. See, it’s just a statue.” They walked home. Alexis told Maggie’s dad about that the statue. He didn’t believe her. Alexis went home mad. When Maggie got in her bed, she couldn’t stop thinking about the statue. She wondered if its real.

The next morning she talked to Alexis about the statue. After school Maggie and Alexis went back to the graveyard the statue was gone! “Oh, no!” said Alexis. “Someone must have stolen it”. “What do we do?” said Alexis. “Ask somebody,” said Maggie. They found a man in the graveyard. They asked the man, “Have you seen a statue?” He answered, “What a statue? I haven’t seen a statue in here for years.” Maggie and Alexis were confused. “Well, we saw one yesterday,” they said. “ I’m telling you the truth.” said the man. “I don’t care,” said Alexis. “Let’s go,” said Maggie. When Alexis and Maggie got home they found the statue on the porch with a bloody sword.
