One night, as Rachel was down at the lake with Lexie and Levi, Rachel saw a boat floating in the lake. She told Lexie what she saw. Lexie said, “Oh, don’t worry; that boat has been there a long time.” Lexie and Levi went up to their house. Rachel was left alone by the lake. As she was watching the boat, the headlights turned on The boat turned and was sailing full speed toward her. Rachel quickly ran up the hill to safety as the boat came to rest on the grassy hill. The motor running, the headlights on, everything there but a person. Rachel didn’t bother to tell Lexie and Levi.

As Rachel was thinking about what to do, she saw a pair of red eyes coming toward her. She screamed and ran up to the house to tell Lexie and Levi what happened. In the morning, their parents checked the boat out and nothing was there but the old boat. One year passed, and all Lexie could think about was those red eyes that Rachel saw. She couldn’t stand it, so the next evening she took Levi and they ran down to the boat and came face to face with red eyes. Rachel, Levi, and Lexie all woke up on the old boat in the middle of the lake the next morning, and they never returned home.
