Recipients of the Aaron J. Garner Scholarship award through the East Alabama Code Officials Association included left to right, Brian Green, accepted the award on behalf of his son, Jordan, building official of Gadsden; Mark Williams, building official of Jacksonville (EACOA president); Ashley Bryant and Dowling Hamrick. The scholarship amount awarded was $500 each. The award is given each year through the East Alabama Code Officials Association. The scholarship was started in honor of Aaron J. Garner, who was a past member of the East Alabama Code Officials and a building official with the City of Oxford.
