Anniston investigators were gathering information Friday about an assault involving two brothers outside the Cooper Homes public housing complex.

Police said that Thursday around 3:15 p.m. two brothers got into an argument that turned physical.

Sgt. Fred Forsythe said it appeared the younger brother, 23, struck his 25-year-old brother in the head with an unknown object. The 25-year-old was treated for minor head injuries at Stringfellow Memorial Hospital.

The injured man told police that his younger brother had also threatened to shoot him.

No charges had been filed Friday, but police were still investigating the incident.
