The AlaBenton Genealogical Society met in December for its annual Christmas party. The party was an opportunity for the members to donate gifts, either money or books, for genealogical research for the Alabama Room at the Public Library of Anniston-Calhoun County. A donation of $165 was made by the Major General Patrick R. Cleburne Chapter United Daughters of the Confederacy. Attendees at the meeting included left to right, Lou Walker of Talladega, Ann Norton of Oxford, Carolyn Hoots of Anniston and Kitty Bussey of Oxford.
