In addition to hosting the tournament for more than two decades, “The Pete” is also the site of the Alabama High School Athletic Association’s Northeast Regional tournament, the round just before the Final 48 in Birmingham.
“We just want to get back to the regional,” Randall said. “We want to get back in that atmosphere. Winning the county tournament, that’s something that’s never been done at a school our size.”
