Congrats to ... Frances Surrett
Frances Surrett is Calhoun County Homemaker and Community Leaders’ 2010 Key Member. Surrett, a member of the Pace Club, was nominated for the state competition for her participation, attendance and many contributions to local and county activities. She has served as an officer in several capacities and is currently the County Cultural Arts chairman. She sews monthly at cancer workshops, participates in the weekly painting classes, making jewelry and learning to knit, and attends district and state meetings as well as attends the monthly and other Pace Club and County meetings. Surrett is also in other activities such as: her church activities; the Christmas Holiday Cooking School, sponsored by the County Homemakers and Community Leaders (CCHCL) and the Calhoun County Extension System (ACES); volunteering at the Senior Citizens Center in Weaver; the NBC13 “Make a Difference Award;” and an active member of the Maj. Gen. Patrick R. Cleburne Chapter, UDC.
