Once upon a time, there was a kid named Eddie. Eddie loved animals! Every animal he saw, he would bring home and make his pet.

One day he found a giant dog. So he decided to pet it, but he had made a big mistake.

When he reached down to pet it, it bit him! He was so surprised that he didn’t even think about it, till he saw the dog lift his head up and howl. Then he ran away.

Eddie just stood there. Then suddenly he fainted.

He woke up, and it was almost dark. His mother always told him to never go out after dark. He saw the sun go down and the moon slowly rise.

Then he noticed his whole body was full of fur. Then he noticed he had a snout like a dog. He noticed something else: He looked just like a werewolf.

His teeth were sharp, he grew giant claws and he was at least five feet tall now. He had also grown giant ears.

But there was something else different. He was hungry.

He was hungry for some meat, and something was telling him to go get some.

So he went toward a giant field full of cows. When he left that field, not a cow was left.

It was almost sunrise, so he decided to go home. By the time he got home, he had changed back to normal.

As soon as he walked up, his mom busted out of the door. “Eddie Ferguson,” his mom yelled. “Where have you been?”

“I don’t know,” Eddie said.

Just then, his friend Jakob walked by. “Hey, Eddie, want to come by my house?”

“Sure,” Eddie said. As they walked down the road, they noticed Mr. Dickens, with a downcast look on his face.

“Hey, Mr. Dickens,” shouted Jakob. “Oh, hey Jakob,” said Mr. Dickens in a sad voice. “What’s wrong?” asked Eddie. “All my cows are dead,” said Mr. Dickens.

“What!” said Jakob. “How did they die?” “I guess coyotes killed them,” said Mr. Dickens.

“Well, if we’re going to get to your house, we better hurry,” said Eddie. “Well, bye, Mr. Dickens, sorry about your cows,” said Jakob.

By the time they got a mile away, the sun had about disappeared. Eddie noticed and decided to turn back. Jakob noticed Eddie was gone. He turned around, but Eddie was already gone. He soon realized it was dark. Just then something jumped out of the bushes and landed right on top of him.

“Eddie get off!” said Jakob. “Oww!” screamed Jakob. “You bit me!” said Jakob.

As soon as Eddie realized what he had done, feeling so ashamed, he left.

No one ever saw them again, but every once in a while, a few cows and sheep will go missing.
