Enough is enough. I went home last night to find the latest piece of mudslinging, untrue brochures from state Sen. Del Marsh’s opponent. We will probably never know, but if the truth was known, in my opinion, Del’s opponent is being funded by Paul Hubbert of the Alabama Education Association.

Alabama teachers know, respect and support Del Marsh. His lovely wife, Ginger, served our community as an elementary school teacher for 15 years.

I am also tired of Del’s opponent’s slick television ad, wherein he states he looks forward to serving the people of St. Clair and Calhoun counties. To me, it seems that Calhoun County was an afterthought. Marsh has served all the citizens of this district fairly and professionally, and he has served them well.

On Tuesday, Republicans, Democrats and independents from Calhoun County should go to the polls and re-elect Sen. Del Marsh overwhelmingly. This election is the time to tell Hubbert once and for all that he cannot buy this senate seat. Please take the time to go vote and vote for Marsh so that Calhoun County will continue to have a senator looking out for our interests.
