I should not be surprised, but I am still amazed. I am amazed and grateful for the overwhelming generosity and support for the YWCA’s Purse and Passion Luncheon that provides critical domestic violence services.

Each year our goal for attendance and funds raised have been surpassed. On behalf of our hardworking steering committee and table captains, I thank all of our supporters, corporations, municipal governments and officials and our many, many generous donors.

Since all of our services are free, the support provided is extremely critical. Thank you again St. Clair Countians for your care and concern. And please continue to be generous to the United Way, which is the YWCA’s largest single funder.

An African proverb says, "If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together." Thanks to all for being "together" with us.

Sincerely,

Suzanne Durham, United Way of Central Alabama, Inc., Birmingham
