Destiny Life Church, Hwy 411 Odenville, will be holding 24 Hours of Prayer & Worship July 27-28. This event is open to everyone and will include live music, worship, prayer, Bible reading and guest speakers from the community.

Scott Ray has been pastor of the church for the past 11 years, nine of those years while they were located in Springville.

“We outgrew the building in Springville,” Ray said. “We have been here for two years.

It is the intent to pray for our city, community, region and nation, as well as individual prayer requests. We are also encouraging prayer requests by mail.”

The event will start Saturday at noon, and will end with the morning worship hour on Sunday.

“We used to do this before moving to the Odenville location,” Ray said. “It will be our future vision of our church that one day we will be a 24/7 church where we never close our doors. I have felt like the Lord has been leading us to do this for a long time. This will be the first time we have done this here.”

Ray said this is for St. Clair County residents and beyond.
