Tickets are now on sale for Men’s Weekend at Crosspoint Baptist Church in Trussville. The weekend is set for Jan. 25-26.

“It’s going to be a great time of fellowship and prayer with men from all over the area,” said Rev. James Sampley, pastor at First Baptist Ashville. “It’s going to be a great event.”

Sampley said tickets are available at his church in Ashville, at First Baptist Church in Pell City, Bethel Baptist Church in Moody, First Baptist in Springville and Cropwell Baptist. Tickets are $30 apiece, which covers the cost of a barbecue dinner on Friday night, and breakfast Saturday morning.

“There are a lot of tickets available in many locations,” he said. “It’s a phenomenal event.”

The keynote speaker for the event is Dr. Robert Smith Jr., professor of Divinity and Christian preaching at Beeson Divinity School, at Samford University.

“He is a phenomenal speaker,” Sampley said. “One of the most intelligent men I’ve ever met. I encourage all men out there to attend if they can.”

The event begins Friday at 5 p.m. The House of Q will cater Friday night’s meal, and the church will furnish breakfast Saturday morning.

For more information on the event, contact Chris Howell at Crosspoint at 205-655-0364, ext. 13, or email chowell@crosspointchurch.info.
