Springville native Andrew Annello has never been one to shy away from an audience. Annello was one of the top winners on "Alabama Talent Hunt" recently and now his new journey to stardom begins.

Alabama Talent Hunt started in February and Annello advanced to the finals, held May 17, on the campus of the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

Annello won the second round in February and was named the overall top performer of that month.

In March, Annello made the third round cut and was in second place overall.

The fourth round was awesome for Annello as he won the adult category and was named overall entertainer of the night.

"Alabama Talent Hunt is and has been a remarkable singing platform for me since February 2014 when the eliminations began," Annello said.

Less than 30 entertainers advanced to the fifth and final round. Annello made it to the Top 10 and won a recording opportunity in a studio and his music will be available on iTunes and a CD of the talented winners all recorded.

Annello’s mom, Marie, said Andrew continues in his theatre and he is loving life.

"He never allows differences or difficult situations to darken his light," Marie Annello said. "There was a songwriter at the finals and she approached Andrew about cutting a demo. Great things are happening for my son right now, and I am just so happy for him and proud of him."

"This is a new beginning for my music career," Annello said. "Only 10 of us in the final 30 received a contract for a year of studio recording time and the opportunity to record a song to be available on iTunes. I’m stoked for this opportunity and many thanks to my family, friends and fans.
