Several St. Clair students named to Samford University Dean’s List

Several St. Clair County students were honored when Samford University released its Dean’s List after the close of the fall and spring semesters.

To qualify for the Dean’s List, a student must earn a minimum 3.5 grade point average out of a possible 4.0 while attending at least 12 credit hours of coursework. The Dean’s List is the highest academic recognition given by the school at the end of each semester.

Honorees on the Samford University Dean’s List include:

• Karlye Burson of Moody, a sociology major in the Howard College of Arts and Sciences.

• Molly Brown of Pell City, an early childhood education/early childhood special education/elementary education/elementary collaborative education major in the Orlean Bullard Beeson School of Education and Professional Studies.

• Christy Vest of Odenville, a voice major in the School of the Arts.

• Melissa Moler of Leeds, a paralegal studies major in the Evening College.

• Mariangelie Velazquez of Moody, a paralegal studies certificate major in the Evening College.

• Kathryn Champion of Odenville, a liberal studies major in the Howard College of Arts and Sciences.

• Autumn Combs of Pell City, an early childhood education/early childhood special education/elementary education/elementary collaborative education major in the Orlean Bullard Beeson School of Education and Professional Studies.

• Ashley Temple of Odenville, an early childhood education/early childhood special education/elementary education/elementary collaborative education major in the Orlean Bullard Beeson School of Education and Professional Studies.

• Melissa Carson of Moody, a voice major in the School of the Arts.

• Katherine Vest of Odenville, a piano major in the School of the Arts.
