Local students make Chancellor’s List at Troy

Several local students were named to Troy University’s Chancellor’s List for the 2014 Spring Semester/Term 4. The Chancellor’s list honors students who have earned a 4.0 grade point average during that term. These students include Nicholas Brantley of Pell City; Christina Carlisle of Springville; Caroline Clark of Moody; Brittney Henderson of Trussville; Stephanie Noah of Riverside; Nathaniel Seymour of Springville; Jorge Solis of Pell City; Tiesha Stone of Pell City; and Tiffany Zorn of Ashville.

Local students make Provost’s List at Troy

Several local students were also named to the Provost’s List for 2014 Spring Semester/Term 4. The Provost’s List honors students who have earned a 3.65 or higher grade point average during the previous academic period. These students include Skyela Cedotal of Ragland; Cesar Jauregui of Pell City; Philip Simon of Moody; and Benjamin Ward of Pell City.

Moody Jr. High School

Moody Junior High School Donation Days will be July 29-30 from 8:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. The donation amount requested is $25. Orientation for Moody Junior High School is as follows:

• 8th Grade Orientation – Tuesday, Aug. 5, 4:30-6 p.m.

• 7th Grade Orientation – Tuesday, Aug. 5, 6-7:30 p.m. Everyone meets in the multipurpose room at start time.

Summer hours

The St. Clair County Board of Education office, all schools and departments will be open Monday through Thursday from June 6 until Aug. 1. The board office hours will be from 7 a.m. until 4 p.m. Please contact your local school for their summer office hours of operation.
