ASHVILLE

A singing will be held at Piney Grove Baptist Church in Ashville Saturday, June 21 at 6 p.m. Guest singers are Ernie Dawson and Heirline.

Fifth Sunday singing at McEntyre Baptist Church, Greensport Road, Ashville, is Sunday, June 29, at 2 p.m. Special singers are The Redemption Trio. Everyone is welcome.

Pastor Paul Alexander and church members invite everyone to regular services at Reeves Grove Baptist Church. Sunday School begins at 10 a.m., with worship at 11 a.m. Youth choir and adult choir practice at 4:30 p.m., with evening service at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday services begin at 7 p.m. Free bus rides are available for adults and kids for these services also. Services are dress casual.

Pine Forest Baptist Church, across from Eden Career Technical Center, in Ashville, invites everyone to weekly activities. Sunday School begins at 10 a.m., with preaching at 11 a.m. Sunday night Bible study begins at 5 p.m. Wednesday Bible study begins at 6 p.m.

Members of the Singles Sunday School class at First Baptist Church of Ashville are hosting a Singles mingle every Sunday 8:30-9 a.m. in their classroom near the Sunday School office. (Enter from parking lot on the right through old building, ground floor, and watch for signs.) Drop by for a visit then stay for Bible study or go to the church and/or class of your choice. Greensport Baptist Church 9260 Shoal Creek Road Ashville Al 35953 announces a retirement celebration for Brother Marlin and Jamie Cox on Sunday June 29 at 10 am. All former members, friends and family are invited to attend and join the membership in celebrating Brother Marlin’s 24 years of ministry at Greensport and to congratulate him on his retirement. Lunch will be served in the fellowship hall following the service.

COOK SPRINGS

Cook Springs Baptist Church will have Vacation Bible School kickoff and registration on Saturday, June 21, from 2 to 4 p.m. VBS will be 6:30 to 9 p.m. Sunday thru Friday, June 22-27 for ages 4 thru those just finishing 6th grade. Family night will be Friday night. Youth Day for those finishing 7th grade thru 12th grade will be Saturday, July 12, beginning at 2 p.m.

LEEDS

MARGARET

Macedonia Baptist Church No. 1, 1655 Levine Road, P.O. Box 347, Margaret, will celebrate its 100th anniversary with a Sunday each month. The theme for the celebration is “Come Home to Macedonia.” The theme and date for each month is as follows: July 13, Patriotic; Aug, 3, Prayer for Future; Sept. 21, Centennial Celebration (Grand Finale). RAGLAND

Macedonia Baptist Church is hosting Vacation Bible School June 22-25, from 6:-7:45 each evening. This year’s theme is “Fruity Friends of the Spirit.” Ages for this V. B. S. are 4 years old and up. Everyone is welcomed to attend. Children will be allowed to wear shorts., and will be building and painting birdhouses (dress accordingly).
