PELL CITY -- Pell City Center for Education and the Performing Arts Director Jeff Thompson said Wednesday there are still a limited number of tickets available for two of its upcoming performances.

Thompson said he believes tickets for the Alabama Symphony Orchestra will sell out before Tuesday night’s performance.

“We’ve sold about three-fourths of the tickets,” he said. “We have about 80 tickets left.”

Reserve seating tickets cost $20 and can be upgraded to include the VIP reception for $40.

The VIP reception will be one hour before the performance and feature a meet-and-greet with performers. Doors open at 5:45 p.m., and the reception starts at 6. Doors will open for the general public at 6:30.

The orchestra’s performance is slated for 7-9 p.m. in the state-of-the-art CEPA Theater.

Thompson said there are still plenty of tickets left for this Saturday’s “A Magical Evening.”

Tickets for that show are $10 each, and VIP reception and reserve seating combination tickets are $20 apiece.

“The event will feature several premiere magicians from the area sharing the stage in Pell City for one night only,” Thompson said.

Matthew Wilson, one of Birmingham’s master illusionists, will treat CEPA VIPs, members and season ticket holders to a one-of-a-kind, up-close parlor magic performance prior to the main event during a special reception.

Thompson said the only way to see the special performance is by purchasing a VIP ticket.

He said this year’s magical show will start at 7 p.m. Doors will open at 5:45 for VIP ticket holders for the close-up magic in the lobby area. The VIP reception includes light hors d’oeuvres and beverages. Doors will open for general admission at 6:30.

This year’s performers include Wilson, Tommy Ellison, Khris Reaves, Andrew Parker, James Adamson and Brian Reaves, the two-time “Birmingham Magician of the Year” and 2016 Close-up Champion at the Winter Carnival of Magic in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee.
