TALLADEGA -- The Talladega College Marching Tornadoes will perform in front of an NFL crowd today during the matchup between the Denver Broncos and the New Orleans Saints. The game will be played inside the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans.

Although the halftime show itself it not likely to be aired, the football game will be nationally televised -- with a noon kickoff on CBS.

“The entire campus is buzzing with excitement for this wonderful opportunity and national exposure for the Talladega College Marching Tornadoes,” Talladega College officials said.

The band is under the direction of Miguel Bonds.

The Marching Tornadoes have performed at various events, including the Queen City Battle Of The Bands in Charlotte, North Carolina, and during a recent Jacksonville State University football game.

“The band was extended an invitation due to ties to the New Orleans area,” Talladega College Director of Public Relations and Communications Greg Wilson said.

Wilson also noted the college will be recording the performance for fans to view.
