Teaching social and emotional principles to young people in a way they can understand and remember is the focus of the WhyTry program, which uses a series of 10 visual analogies reinforced through activities, music and a multisensory approach.

The Sylacauga Alliance for Family Enhancement and the Alabama Network of Family Resource Centers will host a WhyTry Level 2 training Wednesday and Thursday, July 30-31, at the B.B. Comer Memorial Library in Sylacauga, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. daily aimed at building resilience in the workplace, at school and at home.

Cost is $250 for the training only, $499 for the online curriculum including a free training seat, $569 for the secondary curriculum including a free training seat, or $569 for the elementary curriculum including a free training seat.

For more information or to register, visit whytry.org/training or call Bruce Bushnell at 866-949-8791 or email bruce@whytry.org.
