The Animal Shelter of Pell City Inc. is holding a yard sale with thousands of items at discounted prices.

“Everything is priced to sell,” said Helen Powell, a volunteer and member of the ASPCI board of directors.

The indoor yard sale is being held in an old antiques store on a farm on Stemley Road in Talladega County, near Lincoln.

Powell said there are close to 2,000 items in the indoor yard sale, which is slated for next Friday and Saturday, Aug. 1-2.

“We have about 100 different cookbooks,” she said. “We probably have 500 books in all.”

The sale starts at 7 a.m. each morning and ends at noon both days.

“We have tons of Christmas decorations,” Powell said. “I think we even have a singing Santa Claus.”

She said there are plenty of clothes, including new items, and there are lots of items for the home, including brass candle stick holders, lamps and antique chairs, appliances and much more.

Powell said there are a couple of boxes of small items that organizers may give away with individual purchases.

She said the former antiques store at Meadowlake Farm, 10145 Stemley Road, Talladega, will have six rooms filled with items.

Powell said visitors can follow the signs when they exit off Interstate 20 at the Embry Crossroads Exit 165, or turn off Alabama 34 onto Stemley Road.

“I think this is going to be really good,” Powell said. “We are hoping a lot of people to show up and support their shelter.”
