TALLADEGA -- In honor of breast cancer awareness month in October, the Armstrong-Osborne Library will play host to a brown bag lunch with Karen Allen, author of “Confronting Cancer with Faith.”

The event will be Friday, Sept. 30, at noon. Admission is free and refreshments will be provided.

According to a press release, Allen’s “presentation will focus on clinical trials for cancer treatment as well as faith-based methods of coping with crisis. … Karen’s presentation will focus on what (clinical trials) are and when they should be considered.

“Come learn more about confronting cancer with clinical research as well as how to confront cancer and other crises of life with faith. Karen will share highlights from her book … to share how it is possible to turn a crisis into a faith building opportunity.”

Allen is a member of the Central Alabama Writers Guild and Alliance. For more information, please visit www.confrontingcancerwithfaith.com.
