Rebels have good showing in All-Star game

CVA had a productive showing at the AISA All-Star game at Paterson Field Monday. 

Seniors Colton Pate and Michael Mims played for the winning East squad, contributing to a 7-0 victory. Pate scored a run and had two RBIs. Pate also pitched a scoreless inning and had two strikeouts. Michael Mims scored a run and had an RBI. 

Junior Logan Guy and Ryan Baker also had productive outings while playing for the junior East squad that also won. 

CVA head coach Bobby Permenter said his players earned the opportunity to play in the All-Star game.

“I applaud my players for being chosen to represent our team and school in the All-Star game,”Permenter said.” In as much as I feel it will give them the opportunity to work and improve on their skills, they are accomplished players and have earned that right.”
