There are seven writers, each of their own niche and each with their own special stories to tell, along with some very noted songwriters, and they’re going to be the guest of Comer Museum and Arts Center for a gathering you won’t want to miss.

The date is Thursday, June 19 and it all gets started at 6:30 p.m. at Sylacauga’s Comer Museum and Arts Center.

“Several national  songwriters of the Weogufka Chapter will be entertaining us again  at Comer Museum,” said Donna Rentfrow, director for Comer Museum and Arts Center. “And, many of our local authors, including Cabot Barden, Michelle Boatwright, Annie Brown, Denise Cook, Shirley Fergurson, Deliverance Hope and Tana Thompson  will also be here promoting their books and holding book signing,” Rentfrow said.

I have titles of some of the books:

Authors and some of the published books include Cabot Barden,“Dynamite Runs in the Family,” (his third book); Bill King , “Brother Billy Bob Bohannon;” Deliverance Hope, “Vessels of Light,” (in a series of PDF Computer Books); Tana Thompson, “Why Dogs Are,” which won the coveted Indie Award; and Shirley Fergerson, author of “The Mid Wife.”

“This reception is being held to celebrate and promote these talented authors and songwriters,” Rentfrow said. “And we hope to see many from our communities come and experience for themselves the talents our local writers and songwriters have.”

Light hors d’oeuvres and beverages will be served for the occasion. There is no admission to attend, but donations offered for museum operations are always appreciated.
