A woman was injured in a glider crash in Oak Grove Sunday afternoon.

Oak Grove Volunteer Fire Chief Charlie O’Barr said personnel from Oak Grove Volunteer Fire Department, Sylacauga Fire Department, Sylacauga Ambulance Service, Sylacauga Police Department and the Talladega County Sheriff’s Department all responded to the scene.

“The sheriff’s department located the crash site at 409 Merkel Loop Road,” he said. “Sylacauga Ambulance transported the woman to Coosa Valley Medical Center for treatment for a possible ankle injury.”

O’Barr said the site was turned over to the Talladega County Sheriff’s Department and the FAA was notified.
