The Talladega County Bar Association is seeking sponsorships for the first Blake Lazenby Memorial 5K/one-mile run on Oct. 18. All proceeds benefit the county Bar Association Scholarship Fund.
According to a press release, there are five levels of sponsorship available. A $100 sponsorship buys a company name on the sponsor banner, while a $250 sponsorship gets a large logo, company name on a banner at one of the water stops and four free entries to the race of your choice. For $500, you get all of that plus a medium-sized logo on the back of the race T-shirt. For $600, you get a larger logo on the shirt.
For a $1,000 sponsorship, you get the company name and logo on the start or finish banner and a large logo on the sponsors banner.
The race will begin at the Spring Street Recreation Center, with registration beginning at 6:30 a.m. The run starts at 8 a.m.
Entry fees are $15 for the 5K and $10 for the one mile before Oct. 1, with a $2 discount for ARC or GRC members. After Oct. 1, entry fees are $20 for the 5K and $10 for the one mile, with no discounts. T-shirts are guaranteed with any registration received before Oct. 1.
