Authorities are investigating a Lincoln structure fire believed to be arson.

“Lincoln Fire Rescue received a call to the 500 block of Holly Hills Road at 10:34 p.m. Monday,” Lt. Joshua Vincent said. “The first units arrived on scene at 10:38 p.m. and found smoke and fire visible. Although efforts were hindered by inclement weather with strong winds, we were able to get the fire under control rather quickly and without incident.”

Vincent said the residence was unoccupied at the time of the fire.

“Although further details are not released at this time, arson is suspected,” he said.

Anyone with information regarding the fire is asked to call Vincent with Lincoln Fire Investigations Bureau at 205-763-7504.
