LEEDS – The Outlet Shops of Grand River (The Shops) will host a benefit autograph-signing event with Chris Davis – former Auburn great and current cornerback for the San Diego Chargers – at Collegiate Warehouse store today 6 p.m.  Autographs will be priced at $25 each, and all proceeds from the evening signing event will benefit 20-year-old Trey Belvin of Springville.

Belvin was recently diagnosed with Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy (SUDEP), a serious condition for which brain surgery in Cleveland, Ohio is necessary for his survival. The Belvin family is in need of assistance with travel and medical costs throughout the duration of their extended out-of-state stay.

“We are honored to welcome a well-known Auburn great onsite and are proud to align with him to benefit Trey,” said Roslyn Rodda, The Shops manager, marketing and tourism.  “We encourage community members – Auburn fans or otherwise – to come out to support the Belvin family with Chris Davis.”

Davis earned his spot in Iron Bowl history when in 2013 – with one second left on the clock and the score tied at 28 – Alabama placekicker Adam Griffith’s 57-yard game winning field goal attempt was missed and caught by Davis, who returned it 109 yards for a game-winning touchdown.
