The Talladega Fire Department responded to 12 calls during the past week, between June 26 and Thursday afternoon.
The week’s first four calls all came in June 26, and included an overheated motor on East Street, a smoke odor on Court Street North and general cleanup following a vehicle accident on Concord Church Road.
The fourth call of the day involved the elevator at the Spring Street Recreation Center. The elevator was unoccupied.
The next two calls came on Saturday, June 29, for general cleanup after an accident on Cove Access Road and a passenger vehicle fire on West Street North.
There were two more calls on Sunday, first a gas leak at City Court II Apartments followed by a cancelled call on Ridgewood Forest Drive.
The only call on Monday was to East McMillan Street, and turned out to be unfounded.
Another gas leak was called in Tuesday, this time on Celia Drive, and an unfounded call to Nimitz Avenue came in the same day.
There were no calls listed for Wednesday.
As of Thursday afternoon, the only call on Thursday was for a passenger vehicle fire on Woolfolk Road.
