Train derailment

Emergency crews from the Talladega Fire Department, Talladega Police Department, NorthStar Ambulance and CSX Transportation responded to the scene of a train derailment near Coosa Street and Jackson Street at approximately 5:17 p.m. Thursday. Authorities reported no injuries resulted from the incident, but TPD diverted traffic away from the scene so CSX could clear the tracks. The cause of the accident is currently under investigation by CSX.
