Glenn C. Sisk, president and chief executive officer of Coosa Valley Medical Center in Sylacauga, was elected chairman-elect of the Alabama Hospital Association (AlaHA) at the association’s annual meeting.

“Glenn has been a strong leader of our association for many years, including serving as a previous board member, chair of numerous committees and as chairman of the association,” said J. Michael Horsley, FACHE, president of the Alabama Hospital Association. “He is a trusted colleague who is dedicated to the mission of hospitals and the patients they serve.”

In addition to his hospital association leadership, Sisk has remained active in community activities including serving on the boards of the Sylacauga Chamber of Commerce, the Talladega County Economic Development Authority and the Sylacauga Alliance for Family Enhancement. He has also served as a member of the Alabama Certificate of Need Review Board, the Alabama Public Health Licensure Board, and is a current member of the board of directors for BlueCross BlueShield of Alabama.

The Alabama Hospital Association, based in Montgomery, is a statewide trade organization that represents more than 100 hospitals and numerous other health care providers by offering membership services designed to enhance the provision of health care in Alabama.
