Katrina relief: How to help


The best way to help people forced from their homes by Hurricane Katrina is to donate money to a reputable charity. Here is a list of relief agencies that are accepting donations:

• The Salvation Army, 420 Noble St., Anniston, rear entrance gate. Commercially sealed bottled water, non-perishable food items that do not need to be cooked and can be eaten directly from a can, baby hygiene products, baby food and diapers, general hygiene products. 8 a.m.-4 p.m.
