Piedmont, Spring Garden girls on championship team

The Xtreme 03 won the Alabama Fast-Pitch Girls USSSA 10u State Championship in Cullman, on June 29. The team swept through the state tournament with a perfect 8-0 record. They scored a total of 62 runs and only allowed 9 runs for the tournament. The team will travel to Gulf Shores to participate in the USSSA World Series that will begin on July 21.

Team members include: from Geraldine: Gracey Johnson, Lilly Rowell, Chloe Murdock, and Alexis Powell. From Fyffe: Hayden Pettus, Alivia Hatch, and Emma Terrell. From Rainsville: Elaine Puckett. From Sand Rock: Haley Lisenbee. From Centre: McKinley Johnson. From Piedmont: Kayley Kirk. From Spring Garden: Abbey Steward. They are coached by Kevin Johnson, Joel Murdock, and Brandon Steward.
