The sixth annual Maj. Dwayne Williams Memorial golf tournament was held June 8 at the Anniston Country Club. There were 22 teams that participated in the event, held in honor of the Jacksonville native who died Sept. 11, 2001 in the terrorist attack on the Pentagon. Proceeds from the golf tournament fund scholarships in Maj. Williams’ memory at Jacksonville State University.
The first flight winners, with a score of 64, were Steve Royster and Billy Jones. The second flight winners, with a score of 74, included Calvin Phillips and Earl Phillips.
