Salute to … U.S. Marine Corps Platoon No. 331-Third Battalion
The U.S. Marine Corps Platoon No. 331-Third Battalion enjoyed a reunion at Parris Island, S.C., in late June. They graduated boot camp in September 1959. Twelve members from throughout the nation attended the event. George (Tom) Mayne assisted in the organization and planning of the trip. Mayne is a resident of Saks and a member of the Chaffin Detachment-Marine Corps League of Calhoun County.
