Calhoun County student Sarah Swain, who is home schooled by her mother, received second-place honors in the 10th-12th grade division of the Farm-City essay contest during the Alabama Farm-City awards luncheon held April 2 in Birmingham. Swain and her school each received $200 from the Alabama Farmers Cooperative.
