Friends and family held a prayer gathering and balloon release Thursday in Wellborn Park for Kelley Henderson Howard, a Calhoun County native and Wellborn High School graduate, who has been missing for more than a week.

A crowd gathered at the park to pause in prayer and to release balloons bearing messages such as "We love you and miss you, please come home safe."

Authorities are searching for Howard, 41, of Pell City, who has been missing since June 2.

She was last seen at Family Dentistry in Riverside, where she works as a dental hygienist. Henderson has worked in Riverside for the past six years and moved to Pell City a year ago. Many of her family members live in the Anniston/Oxford area. Anyone with information about Kelley Henderson Howard's whereabouts should contact the St. Clair County Sheriff's Department or the Riverside Police Department at (205) 884-3333.
