Picking out a live Christmas tree -- whether you wielded the saw or you bought it pre-cut -- is still a popular tradition that hasn't waned despite the economy, the owner of one local Christmas tree farm said Sunday.
Cary Walker, who along with his wife, Carlene, has operated Pine Hill Farms in Tarrant since 1988, said he has seen an increase in sales for live Christmas trees at his farm this year. The farm includes set up and delivery service, when available, free wagon rides to visit reindeer, a gift shop, and free hot chocolate and cider.
