Talladega city manager resigns

City Manager Michael Stampfler has submitted his letter of resignation following two years on the job.

According to Council President Horace Patterson, Stampfler submitted his letter of resignation to Councilman Jimmy Davis following Monday’s regularly scheduled meeting. The letter simply points out that Stampfler has been in Talladega for two years, and was resigning effective July 7, his second anniversary. The note did not give specific reasons for the resignation, Patterson said.
