Sparks says state is taking action on beef recall

Commissioner of Agriculture and Industries Ron Sparks is alerting consumers of a recent recall announced by the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service.

Sampco Inc. has recalled approximately 87,000 pounds of beef products that may contain a broad-spectrum antiparastic drug used in animals known as Invermectin; it is used as a de-worming agent in live animals.
