Possible meth lab discovered in bath tub of downtown Birmingham motel
Authorities found what appears to be a methamphetamine lab at a downtown motel today after a caller reported "something cooking in the bathtub."
Birmingham Fire and Rescue officials shut down about a block radius around the Knights Inn at 1313 Third Ave. North. At least part of the motel was evacuated, said Battalion Chief C.W. Mardis.
