New poll shows James, Byrne in dead heat in race for GOP gubernatorial nod
A statewide poll released Thursday shows Bradley Byrne and Tim James running neck-and-neck for the Republican Party's nomination in Alabama's gubernatorial race.
The independent poll was commissioned by Montgomery-based Public Strategy Associates and conducted May 10-11 by Baselice & Associates, an Austin, Texas-based polling firm.
