The Press Register is reporting wants more funds to fight gambling in Alabama.

Gov. Bob Riley's office has requested an additional $600,000 to cover legal fees for his fight against gambling, seeking to double the total contract with a Birmingham law firm to $1.25 million, records show.

To date, Riley's office has spent more than $536,000 in state money for legal fees from gambling cases and has another $20,000 worth of invoices to pay, according to Press Secretary Todd Stacy.
