Equal pay activist Lilly Ledbetter of Jacksonville will be one of 11 women enshrined later this year in the National Women’s Hall of Fame.
Ledbetter, whose equal pay suit against Goodyear went to the U.S. Supreme Court and sparked a pay equity act that bears her name, will be inducted along with civil rights champion Coretta Scott King, singer Billie Holiday, educator Donna Shalala, Sen. Barbara Mikulski — the longest-serving woman in the history of the U.S. Senate — and four other women.
