Jacksonville State University President Bill Meehan said a possible 10 percent cut in state funding next year likely would mean an increase in tuition for the school.
Meehan on Wednesday told the Gadsden Kiwanis Club that Gov. Robert Bentley has given the school two scenarios — one involving a 3 percent cut in this year’s budget and another, more drastic proposal cutting the school’s state funding next year by 10 percent.
