Etowah man found guilty on sodomy charge
A 63-year-old man was convicted Wednesday by an Etowah County jury on two counts of first-degree sodomy and one count of sexual abuse of a child under the age of 12.
John Michael Mayer was found guilty after the jury deliberated for about an hour and a half.
